What is the difference between silver beige and cafe au lait Poodles?
Both can have liver noses, but a Café Au Lait MUST have one, Silver Beige can have black or liver. The main determining factor is a true Café Au Lait, is born it’s original color, but a Silver Beige has to be born brown/chocolate and fade into it’s true color. Cafe Au Lait~ It looks like a possible mix between apricot/cream/choc. ALWAYS with a liver colored nose, this is the defining trait of a Cafe Au Lait dog, they MUST have a liver nose. A Silver Beige colored dog can have either liver OR a black nose.
What is a silver beige Poodle?
A true Silver beige will be starting to silver in the face and feet by the age of 6 weeks, and will be distinctly silvery by 8 weeks in the muzzle to be silver beige. They must have liver points and dark amber eyes. Some times they get confused with the Cafe au Lait. Silvers and silver beige puppies can usually be identified by 6 weeks of age as their muzzle will show significant lightening when shaved. Where do Poodles sleep?
Bedtime for my puppies always starts with a crate. Once my puppy is old enough to sleep comfortably through the night and knows how to alert to go outside to potty, we tend to graduate to allowing poodles on the bed to sleep. A sleepy puppy is a happy puppy. This tradition is so ingrained in my poodles, even as adults they tend to put themselves to bed at about 9pm. It’s a great habit.

They are excellent water-retrievers and also compete in dock diving and retriever hunt tests.Whilst Poodles are kind and affectionate with their families, they also have a strong territorial instinct which can be seen as aggressive. Consistent training and early socialisation can help to lessen this behaviour.
