Hi there! My name is Terry and I’ve been a dog lover for as long as I can remember. But what I’m most passionate about is breeding and raising puppies, specifically the adorable Cavapoo breed.

When it comes to the health of our puppies, we take every precaution. Our parents undergo yearly genetic testing for conditions such as heart, eyes, hips, and patellas. However, it’s important to note that genetic testing is not an absolute guarantee that puppies won’t have any health issues. Life happens, and sometimes issues arise. That’s why we back our puppies with a 5-year health guarantee, ensuring that we stand behind them throughout their lives.

One of the things that sets us apart from other breeders is that all our puppies are first-generation hybrids, or F1 hybrids. We only use purebred parents and never breed hybrids to hybrids. The first-generation puppies benefit from what is known as hybrid vigor, which enhances their overall health and vitality.

Now, you might be wondering how we care for our puppies. I’m proud to say that we provide them with the best possible start in life. They stay with their mothers for a full 8 to 9 weeks, allowing them to learn valuable lessons only a mother can teach. Once they come to Foxglove Farm, we begin their training journey. They learn everything from grooming to walking on a leash, crate training, and basic potty skills. We also encourage socialization with littermates, as they teach each other important skills like bite inhibition and playing nicely with others.

As for the number of litters we have, it varies from year to year. Sometimes we’re focused on growing out promising youngsters to add to our breeding program, while other times our adult dogs are being retired. We’ve implemented a guardian home system, where our adult dogs live with families who not only love dogs but also have children to provide an added layer of socialization.
