Size is also a factor that sets Taylormade Mini Goldens apart. Our goal is to breed smaller dogs, weighing around 20-50 lbs and measuring about 12-18 inches tall. This is in contrast to full-sized Golden Retrievers, which can weigh between 65-100 lbs. The size of our Mini Goldens depends on the parent dogs you choose, whether it’s a toy or a micro Mini Golden from small parents or a medium-sized Mini Golden from slightly larger parents.

The coat of a Golden Retriever is known for shedding, but with the addition of Cocker Spaniel and Poodle genes, the shedding can be significantly reduced. While our dogs are still considered shedding dogs, their coats shed less compared to purebred Golden Retrievers. For those who still desire the classic Golden Retriever coat, there are options available with a moderate to higher shedding coat.
